Derivatives Lawyer, NQ-4yrs PQE, Leading Global Investment Bank

Our client, a major global Investment Bank are looking to hire a Derivatives lawyer (NQ - 4 years PQE) to join their London office.

The Role

- To provide legal support to the derivatives trading desk and brokerage team on various transactional and contractual matters.
- To advise on the legal strategy relating to the creation and structuring of the products, as well as assisting with legal documentation.
- To provide advise to the business regarding regulatory issues concerning the creation and sale of derivative products across all asset classes. To keep abreast of all changes and developments in the regulatory landscape and ensure that the bank's products and practices are compliant with domestic and international regulations.
- To manage and liaise with external counsel when necessary.

The Ideal Candidate

- Must be a UK qualified solicitor or an admitted legal practitioner elsewhere. The ideal range of experience is NQ-4yrs PQE.
- Must be trained in a top city law firm or in-House within a similar-level financial institution.
- Must have experience in derivatives, and be able to demonstrate working knowledge of legal issues relating to the structure, transaction, and regulation of derivative products.
- Knowledge and experience of the financial regulatory landscape is highly desirable.
- Prior experience in financial services, especially sell-side (investment bank, capital markets, brokerage) is highly desirable.
