Our client is a well-known, and highly regarded, national law firm with a solid market brand and an excellent reputation for staff retention. With the firm's desire to promote their cutting edge approach across all departments within their UK offices, the firm is keen to attract the services of an experienced Document Solutions Manager.

Based out of either the Nottingham or Birmingham offices, your remit will be to ensure the management and smooth running of the Document Solutions Department. Your department is made up of Shared Services (Document Production/Word Processing) and Document Solutions (Reprographics/Scanning/CD Bibling/Couriers/Faxing/Post) so the experience you require is quite specific; you must have the hands on experience of the Document Solutions aspect of the role but also the strategic experience with the ability to analyse current working methods, perhaps identify and deliver improvements to any processes/systems that are in place and ensure that any such projects are closely managed from initiation to completion

You will be managing circa 60 staff in total so previous management experience within a comparable role within a law firm or similar professional services environment is absolutely essential. Your duties will require you to undertake the day to day staff management your teams, creating rotas to ensure a constant staff cover to satisfy the needs of the business. You will also monitor performance/punctuality/sickness, identify any training needs, be actively involved in any staff recruitment and deal with staff performance appraisals. You will possess excellent communication skills and the ability to quickly establish credible relationships at all levels, mainly with the Head of Legal Support Services, but also with the Lawyers, other departmental managers/team coordinators/supervisors of the firm.

To be considered for this excellent opportunity, you will be an effective and resilient staff manager with the ability to manage difficult situations effectively and stay calm under pressure. You will also be a role model and mentor to your staff, leading by example and ensuring that your team deliver the highest quality of service to the firm and its clients.
