ASSISTANT COMPANY SECRETARY (PLC) – FIXED TERM CONTRACT

NORTH YORKSHIRE
COMPETITIVE SALARY & BENEFITS PACKAGE
We are delighted to be appointed by this market-leading business to recruit an Assistant Company Secretary into its legal team to cover a period of maternity leave.
Reporting into the General Counsel and Company Secretary, and with the help of a Company Secretarial Assistant, you will have responsibility for the full range of company secretarial tasks, including attending regular board meetings and committees for the business and its numerous subsidiaries.
Practical experience is key to this role as you will deal with the company secretarial tasks required by the business on a day-to-day basis. Being able to take thorough board minutes is vital.
We are keen to speak to individuals who are currently or have recently worked in a similar capacity - perhaps as an experienced Assistant Company Secretary, interim or even qualified lawyer - but are looking for experience in a listed PLC environment. It would be advantageous if you had previously used Blueprint and Diligent although this is not critical.
When the business’ bright and comfortable offices are able to be fully open again, you will be sitting with the in-house Legal team therefore it is preferred if candidates are based within commuting distance of York. In advance of that, the role will need to be performed remotely.
You will be working in a very dynamic environment and will have access to senior stakeholders across the business.
This is an outstanding opportunity to take more responsibility but with the advantage of having assistance and a Company Secretary to report into.
