New York law firm is looking to hire a new European Business Development and Marketing Manager to be responsible for supporting a range of business development and marketing activities relevant to the Firm’s European practices and lawyers, with an emphasis on several core Corporate practice areas, including Asset Management and M&A. This role will primarily support the development and expansion of the Firm's client base by leading on pitches and proposals, research, matter information management, targeting initiatives, seminars, directory submissions, along with other promotional activity and client entertainment pertinent to the designated practice areas of focus. The Manager will also be involved in client relationship management and client targeting, and will support cross-practice profile-raising initiatives (including media relations, thought leadership, award submissions), and client-facing events (which may include alumni, associate, diversity and inclusion and other Firm-hosted events). The candidate is expected to perform all responsibilities with a commitment to providing superior service to the Firm’s clients, lawyers, advisors and staff. We are looking for an energetic, experienced and proactive self-starter who enjoys a varied mix of business development and marketing activities.  This role will report in to the Head of European Business Development and Marketing, and work closely with all members of the Marketing and Business Development team including two direct reports.  Applicants need to have previous marketing/BD management experience, ideally from within a law firm with exposure to corporate related practice areas, have strong written and oral communication skills, be able to manage multiple projects concurrently, have outstanding interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with a variety of people and departments and be a natural leader when it comes to working alongside key Partners and Stakeholders in terms of believing and delivering your ideas however you must be open and receptive to other ideas and solutions.  The standard working hours are 9:30am to 5:30pm with a salary range of £65,000 to £72,000.  This role is currently working remotely.
