Compliance Officer
Cheshire
Salary up to £25k
A Compliance Officer is wanted for a rewarding opportunity with a well-regarded National firm in the heart of Cheshire This role will suit a compliance officer with 12 months compliance experience within a law firm. Offering a competitive salary plus a fantastic benefits package.
The compliance officer is required to ensure the firm and individuals within the firm practice and promote the highest standards of legal and regulatory compliance; actively promoting the development and maintenance of ethical and compliance standards within the group.
Key responsibilities and duties include:
Conduct compliance file reviews across all teams
Provide advice and support to fee earners and business support staff with their queries regarding client care, regulatory requirements and internal processes for compliance
Work alongside the Head of Compliance to deal with AML and compliance queries from the staff
Drafting risk and compliance procedures
Draft and update relevant policies and procedures
Assisting with the preparation of reports to senior management
Attend monthly compliance meeting and prepare minutes
Prepare and assist with new starter Compliance inductions
You will have sound knowledge of anti money laundering regulations and conflicts within a legal environment and SRA's standards & regulations.
