Patent Litigation Associate / Senior Associate – International Firm 

Veritas is currently working with an international law firm that are seeking an IP litigation Associate or Senior Associate to join their London office.  

The firm is a household name, recognised globally for their outstanding reputation in areas such as M&A, finance and global disputes, as well as their market leading sector knowledge is sectors such as Energy, Technology, Life Sciences, and Telecoms. 

The top ranked Intellectual Property team is a stalwart of the firm, with over 30 Partners worldwide and 13 in the firm’s flagship London office. Their reputation in both contentious and non-contentious IP is sector agnostic, and the team are globally recognised in leading publications for their expertise across Technology, Life Sciences, Media, Fashion and FCMG.  

The specialist patent litigation team is one of the largest of its kind in London, and has grown exponentially with the arrival in recent years of leading Partners from a number of London’s top teams. The team’s clients are household names within the Pharmaceuticals and Technology sectors, regularly involved in a range of complex and challenging global disputes. 

As a result of continued growth, the firm are now seeking a standout Associate or Senior Associate, circa 2 – 6 PQE, to join their London team. The role will involve working closely with two leading Partners, recognised for their expertise in pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, medical devices and wider technology disputes.  The work will be largely contentious, although there may be some exposure to more general IP advisory work in the same sectors. 

The successful candidate should be an experienced Associate with an excellent academic background and patent litigation experience gained within a leading international team. You will be willing to take or have already studied the Oxford IP Diploma. Furthermore, a background in science or other technological area will be preferred but is not a requirement. Candidates with appropriate experience gained in common law jurisdictions are also encouraged to apply.
