You will need to prepare debt recovery cases including issuing claims, drafting settlement agreements, witness statements, preparing briefs to counsel and applications to the Country Court and Court of Protection.

Duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Running cases in the Tribunal
  • Issuing fast or multi-track claims in the County Court
  • Supervising and managing a team in the absence of the Principal Lawyer
  • Preparing court documents
  • Attending court on behalf of the less junior members of the team
  • Providing complex legal advice to senior client officers around debt recovery
  • Attend meetings such as the debt board
