Risk & Compliance Solicitor
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Risk & Compliance Solicitor to join a top tier South West firm.
The Firm
The firm are in the Top 100 UK firms and they offer the full range of corporate commercial advice for business and also private client advice for high net worth individuals.
They pride themselves on a friendly and inclusive culture and have always promoted a work-life balance and flexible working.
The Team
The current Risk & Compliance Solicitor is due to go on maternity leave in the summer and initially the person who will be successful in this role will be working autonomously for 6 months. Following that you will be working closely with the other risk & compliance solicitor, and there may be the opportunity for part time at this stage if that was something you were looking for.
There is also a team of analysts and administrators who look after the day to day business acceptance work who you will have supervision over.
The Role
As the risk & compliance solicitor you can look forward to advising the firm on a whole range of issues to do with professional conduct, compliance, risk, matter management best practice and legal service quality issues. Alongside the day to day advice you can also get involved in project work and updating policies and procedures.
The Requirements
Qualification (as a solicitor, barrister or legal executive) and practice experience is preferred, however applications will be considered from anyone with the right level of relevant risk and compliance experience.
Key skills needed include an in-depth knowledge of the SRA Handbook and providing advice on confidentiality issues, drafting engagement terms, experience with Anti-Money Laundering (AML), bribery and corruption legislation, and experience with GDPR and data protection.
Ideally the role will be based in the firm’s main office in Bristol, however they will consider someone to be based in the Bath or London offices as well.
Lunaria Partners are advertising this role on behalf of our client. We strive to respond to all applications but due to the volume received, this isn't always possible. If you have not heard from us in 7 days your application has been unsuccessful on this occasion.
