My client is thriving financial services business based in the East Midlands and is now seeking to appoint its first Head of Compliance & Legal.
The role will be responsible for administering and executing a Compliance regime within an FCA regulated business ensuring all applicable policies and procedures are adhered to correctly as well as ensuring the company continues to comply with GDPR legislation. The role will also act as Data Protection Officer as well as the organisations Anti-Bribery and Corruption Officer.
The successful candidate will be a qualified solicitor with a minimum of 5 years PQE with experience of working either in private practice or in-house. You will be able to demonstrate an excellent working knowledge of a range of compliance issues and solutions, as well as applicable laws/regulations relating to a FCA regulated financial services business.
The role would particularly suit a Senior Associate working in a law firm looking to make a first in-house move or someone working in a compliance function within a financial services business.
In addition to possessing a strong technical background you must exhibit strong personal credibility have excellent client care skills as well as being a talented communicator. Strong self-motivation and the ability to effectively prioritise and execute tasks under pressure is vital.
