Employment Paralegal
Leeds
QED Legal are working with a leading commercial law practice in Leeds who are looking for an Employment (respondent) Paralegal to join their busy team.
The firm are a Top 100 multi-service practice and a great place to build and enhance your legal career and skillset.
Please note that this role requires at least 12 months prior experience of Employment Law experience at a law firm and unfortunately those with out the requisite experience will not be considered.
The right candidate will have experience of working within an Employment Law team assisting fee earners on contentious matters resulting in defending tribunal claims. As such you will have knowledge of drafting witness statements, drafting and lodging defences to claims, drafting agendas and lists of issues for case management discussions, drafting briefs to Counsel, and drafting applications to Employment Tribunals.
The firm do like to progress their own staff internally over time if you have the ambition, drive and ability.
Whilst needing to have Employment Law experience you should also ideally have a law degree at a minimum.
The firm is known for having a diverse and inclusive culture and is a great place for junior lawyers to really develop their legal skills in a modern and progressive environment.
