Due to continued growth at this very well-established legal costs firm, an excellent opportunity has become available for a Senior Costs Draftsman to join its office in Manchester City Centre. You will be joining a firm that is proud of its reputation throughout the Northwest region and can offer security, training and ongoing career prospects.
You will ideally be a fully qualified Costs Lawyer of the ACL with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in preparing Bills of Costs for detailed assessment with a focus on Personal Injury claims. Whilst this is not essential, the ideal Senior Costs Draftsman will be able to conduct their own advocacy. As the Senior Costs Draftsman, you will assume responsibility for the Preparation of Bills, Schedules, Estimates of Costs and Statements of Costs for Trial, and you will be expected to deal with all aspects of a file to include replies, points of dispute and negotiations.
You will work alongside the Costs manager, providing assistance on performance issues, producing reports and developing strategy to maximise the efficiency of the department.
