Pure Search are instructed on an exciting role for an enterprising employment solicitor looking for greater exposure to media, retail and sports clients.

The Company:

Our client has a significant international remit and, despite being a rapidly expanding law firm, is actually more akin to an in-house environment than a traditional law firm. With a small and collegiate employment team, this is a chance to join a team where you can make a genuine impression both within the wider team and across the entire firm, working with household name clients including major UK retail businesses, Premier League footballers and international media, entertainment and gaming companies.

The Role:

The role encompasses a broad split between contentious and non-contentious employment matters, advising a mix of start-ups, SMEs and high-profile individuals. This will involve a fairly even split between corporate support, HR advisory and litigation, often acting as counsel to a broad commercial client base.

Responsibilities include:

  • Providing advice on employment aspects of corporate and real estate transactions;
  • Advising clients in respect of discrimination, whistle-blowing and post-termination restrictions;
  • Assisting with contentious matters before Employment Tribunals and the High Court;
  • Assisting with day-to-day advisory aspects relating to grievance and disciplinary matters, termination of senior executives and drafting employment contracts.

About You:

You will be an entrepreneurial employment associate looking to join a firm that will guarantee you exposure to media, entertainment, sports, gaming and retail clients. You may be considering a move in-house and will be looking for an environment that provides both agile working and flexibility but also a standout client base of household names.
