Corporate lawyer 2+ years’ PQE LEEDS

Commercial law firm in Leeds, listed in the Directories for the work it does in Corporate and Commercial law seeks to recruit a Corporate lawyer of 2 or more years’ PQE. The Corporate team advises corporations and institutions of all sizes, both public and private, on mergers and acquisitions, disposals, corporate finance, private equity investments and cross-border transactions. They also have an enviable client base acting for a large number of the region’s listed companies, a growing private equity client base and exposure to cross jurisdictional transactions. For the successful candidate, there will also be opportunities to participate in client secondments.

The role will suit ambitious, confident candidates with demonstrable skills in Corporate law and who also wish to develop and thrive in their next role. The successful candidate can expect to be involved in transactional work in a range of areas covering M&A (public and private and both domestic and international), joint ventures, re-organisations, equity capital markets and private equity. You are likely to have a general M&A skill set but with the potential to develop a specialisation in one or more of these other areas as your career progresses. You will also be required to contribute proactively and enthusiastically to business development activity.
