THE ROLE
Joining a well established global legal team, you'll have direct responsibility for key areas of the business. You'll take on a wide ranging in house legal counsel role, with diverse responsibilities across heavyweight commercial contracts, framework agreements, corporate operations, compliance, and litigious matters. Your remit will include several of the group's European subsidiaries, giving general legal support to the sales teams, and looking after the corporate matters of the businesses. There will additionally be occasional management of litigious matters, supervising any external counsel. As such you'll have exposure to senior management personal on a daily business, and play a key role in business critical decisions.
ABOUT YOU
For this exciting opportunity, we are looking to recruit a commercially skilled lawyer, and as such you'll probably need 4 years pqe to have gained the skills to take on this role. You should have experience of large scale, international commercial contracts, and you'll probably also have some significant experienced working in house, be that from a secondment or a permanent position. Sound knowledge of intellectual property/R&D related matters is a distinct plus, and language skills would be a bonus, though are not essential. However, you'll definitely need the cultural sensitivity to deal across different European business environments.
