Corporate Professional Support Lawyer - 5+ PQE - international firm - Birmingham

Corporate Professional Support Lawyer (PSL) required for the Birmingham office of leading international firm. An exciting opportunity for an existing PSL or otherwise a corporate lawyer with a minimum of five years' fee earning experience, looking to move into a PSL role. This is a rare opportunity to move into a professional support role in Birmingham. There are an increasing number of qualified senior lawyers opting to take this career path, particularly since the remit of PSL roles has evolved to become increasingly multi-faceted and strategic.

The Role:
The successful Corporate PSL will:
· Support a large corporate team alongside another dedicated corporate PSL.
· Handle enquiries from teams and manage on-going team training and development.
· Manage the precedent bank.
· Facilitate the automation of corporate content where appropriate, and drive adoption and use of automated content to improve fee earner productivity.
· Participate in the development and introduction of knowledge tools to the corporate practice.
· Ensure fee earners are kept up to date on new legislation, case law and commercial developments.
· Undertake legal research.
· Prepare training seminar notes and slides for clients, on behalf of partners but also, where appropriate, delivering such sessions yourself.
· Write articles on suitable topics for publication.
· Keep the group Knowledge Centre intranet pages up to date.
· Manage discrete areas of client transactions as and when received.

About You:
The successful Corporate PSL will:
· Be a corporate lawyer with significant transactional experience and a minimum of five years' PQE.
· Be commercially focused able to think strategically.
· Enjoy legal research and black letter law.
· Have excellent technical skills.
· Enjoy training, mentoring and business development.
· Possess excellent interpersonal skills and good people management ability.
