This leading London firm is seeking an experienced regulatory lawyer to support the firm’s clients on all matters involving data protection, and information law issues.
Typical work will include assisting clients to ensure continued compliance with the Data Protection Act and General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) including terms and conditions and policy updates, advising on and assisting with data subject requests, breach handling and responding to ICO investigations, together with a variety of other information law matters, including freedom of information, the environmental information regulations and information related aspects of cyber security and marketing law.
You will need a sound understanding of data protection, GDPR, the related regulatory environment, and commercial and contract law principles with the ability to navigate a complex regulatory environment and efficiently distil and provide legal advice in a clear, effective and pragmatic manner. The confidence and ability to take on new technically complex areas of work, both independently and supervised (as necessary) and develop a loyal following both internally and externally.
You will be self-motivated with a willingness to be involved in business development across various specialist teams to include participation in events, writing articles and bulletins and proactively identifying new innovative opportunities.
