Property Litigator/Claims Handler Job - Bristol/Remote Working
Your new role
Our client are currently recruiting for an experienced claims handler/litigator to join their Bristol based team on a full time, permanent basis. Their team of Litigators act for clients in a broad range of contract, consumer, property and inheritance disputes and this role involves handling a varied caseload of residential property disputes, including, but not limited to, boundary disputes, nuisance claims and property damage matters. There will also be the potential to gain experience in the other areas covered by the Civil Litigation Team in relation to contract, consumer, professional negligence and inheritance disputes. You will be taking initial instructions and providing clear and accurate legal advice. This will involve progressing claims pro-actively and in a timely manner in line with the terms of the client's legal expenses insurance policy. The team are currently working remotely however post-COVID you will be required to commute to their office in Bristol on an as needed basis, therefore it is likely that you will live within commuting distance. This is an important role for them and they are committed to completing a remote recruitment process and onboarding during the COVID-19 lockdown.
What you'll need to succeed
You will have experience of handling a caseload of residential property disputes and a good understanding of civil litigation with experience of handling small claim and fast track litigation. Experience of looking after Legal Expenses Insurance-funded claims would also be desirable but is not essential. You will have excellent interpersonal skills and will be eloquent and confident in client care. You will ideally have a law degree and/or will be studying for CILEx.
