A fantastic opportunity exists for a Business Development Manager to join the dynamic and talented, global Marketing & BD team of a major international law firm.

The role holder will be joining the firm's Client Solutions team which takes the lead in identifying, developing and delivering integrated solutions to clients' most complex legal challenges, working with lawyers and the wider Marketing & BD team to raise the firm's profile, engage clients and drive revenue growth. Based in London, you will work globally to promote the firm's expertise and guidance in Global Transactions to both new and existing clients. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to work on challenging, engaging work that will provide an opportunity to both make a mark and allow career progression. You will be expected to be a role-model for the team on leadership, integrity and collaboration and will be responsible the development of the Global Transactions through the identification of client issues and emerging market trends, in order to develop innovative and creative marketing outputs, which target the firm's most important clients. You will work closely with partners to define an annual growth strategy, ensuring firm-wide adoption, identify solutions which resonate with clients and oversee the marketing plans and take-to-market strategies. The Business Development Manager will also act as the Client Relationship Manager to a number of key clients from the firm's set of priority clients. From a pitching perspective, you will work on high-value pitch opportunities to increase the firm's probabilities of winning and collaborate with the centralised Pitch Centre teams to ensure there is a good understanding and knowledge base of capabilities and experience related to the transactional needs client solutions in support of creating compelling pitches.

The ideal candidate will be highly intelligent, with strong marketing and BD credentials and knowledge of transactional markets ideally gained whilst working in a legal or professional services firm. A curious, driven team-player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills and an entrepreneurial spirit, the Business Development Manager will be able to demonstrate proven problem-solving experience and a strong ability to prioritise work and successfully pre-empt opportunities.
