US law firm is looking to hire a new Compliance Coordinator on a permanent basis to join their busy, fast-developing team. This role is ideally for someone who is proactive, bright, enthusiastic and hardworking with a minimum of 2 years previous legal compliance experience essential. Duties will include the coordination and planning of all compliance, risk and privacy training for the EU offices as well as any on-boarding meetings for new joiners, assisting with regular reviews and updates of risk and compliance policies, act as a point of contact for the lawyers for all queries relating to their SRA records, renewals, certificates of good standing etc., dealing with the administrative arrangements with the ICO and other European Privacy Regulators, maintain relevant records and processing activity logs to ensure they are kept up to date for regulatory inspection, general recordkeeping and filing of templates, notices, client requests, Subject Access Requests etc., handling of basic queries from lawyers and staff on our policies, notices and procedures, being responsible for handling the ongoing and regular administrative tasks regarding the SRA website (e.g. updating firm records, completing forms for practising certificate renewals, MySRA records queries, certificate requests etc.), assisting with queries for and from our regulators on administrative matters and handling the administrative tasks in relation to interactions with “foreign” regulators. Applicants should ideally be degree educated, have strong organisational skills and able to work harmoniously and effectively with others be it when taking instruction or when undertaking a task you are autonomously responsible for. Standard hours are 9:30am to 5:30pm with a salary between £35-40,000 – currently this role will be remote working.
