THE FIRM

A top UK law firm which houses one of the leading disputes and investigations practices, advising on high profile and high value matters.

THE ROLE

Within the Disputes and Investigations team which comprises a wide range of fee earners, a specialist support team and a knowledge team led by the firm's PSL Counsel.

A lawyer currently practising as a fee earner or a PSL is sought to join the knowledge team on a fixed term contract as maternity cover for a senior PSL.

The focus of the role is commercial litigation and arbitration, but some experience of investigations would be valuable.

ABOUT YOU

With 3pqe, although more or less will be considered, your experience should include exposure to as broad as possible a range of commercial disputes.

Prior experience as a PSL is not essential and as a key member of the knowledge team you will work autonomously with lead responsibility on several projects and areas of interest.

Benefiting from direct contact with Partners and fee-earners, you will work closely with the Group's embedded business development team and the firmwide learning and development group.

In addition, you will have a dotted line report to the Director of Knowledge & Information whose focus is on promoting and supporting best practice across the firm.

You will be responsible for a wide range of PSL matters including inter alia, know-how, training, innovation and practice efficiency projects as well as pitches, directories and website contributions.

With an excellent academic record and broad commercial disputes experience from a major law firm or equivalent leading legal practice, you will have the ability to acquire knowledge in and perform analysis of developing areas of law and practice.
