An exciting hire in a growing advocacy team

This is a really exciting opportunity for anyone looking to pursue and develop a strong career in advocacy work. Our client is a leading 'top tier' insurance litigation firm who has a growing in-house advocacy team. The advocacy team undertakes advocacy and court work as well as providing advisory guidance on files for various practice groups within the firm.

The aim is to grow the department so that they take on the majority of advocacy work, without the requirement to instruct external counsel so much. The team is still relatively new, but has already achieved a firm footing within the wider insurance practice. It consists of Barristers and Solicitor Advocates as well as advocates from other areas such as Costs Negotiators who have decided they wish to pursue a career in advocacy.

Quality advocacy work with opportunity to develop expertise in new areas

At present, the main staple of the work consists of RTA Fraud work and EL/PL work. That said, the team is already undertaking advocacy work for other teams in other areas. This includes advocacy work for commercial insurance and reinsurance team such as professional indemnity and property damage. The opportunity to expand your experience as well as develop your own specialisms is considerable.

Wide range of candidates considered

The team is keen to meet with Barristers or solicitor advocates. They are also keen to meet other candidates who are looking for a new challenge. This includes costs advocates who are perhaps looking to broaden their horizons and develop their advocacy career further.
