Professional Support Lawyer (Insurance Reinsurance)

Our client’s insurance & reinsurance practice is recognised internationally as an industry leader.  Through offer a comprehensive range of dispute resolution, transactional and regulatory legal services to the insurance and reinsurance sector; policyholders; captives and mutuals; brokers and other intermediaries; managing agencies and MGAs; TPAs and other service providers.  The insurance and reinsurance work is high value, likely to be complex and multi-party, and often international in nature.

The Knowledge Management team ensures that the firm is able to offer technical excellence with efficient delivery, so as to provide clients with valued quality legal advice globally.  The KM team are looking for a part time Know How / Professional Support Lawyer to provide a dedicated KM / PSL function for the Insurance/Reinsurance practice. Duties include: preparing regular bulletins; collection & dissemination of knowhow; maintenance of knowledge database; drafting and updating templates; intranet management; technical legal queries; training & development; marketing & business development.

You must have at least 7 years PQE, ideally undertaking insurance / reinsurance work in private practice (or in-house). Ideally, you will have previous experience working as a PSL / Knowledge Manager, or the ability to demonstrate an active involvement in know-how initiatives whilst a fee earner. This is a permanent position, part-time (3 or 4 days per week) with a City level competitive salary.
