A superb in-house opportunity has arisen in Manchester for a real estate / commercial property solicitor. This is a rare role working for a fast growing international business; and as it's first dedicated In-house Real Estate Solicitor, there is real scope to make your mark.

Role - In-house Real Estate Solicitor:

Already employing a high-calibre and established commercial in-house legal team, our client now seeks to recruit its first dedicated real estate / commercial property lawyer.

Working alongside the in-house legal, property and projects teams, as well as external legal advisors, as In-house Real Estate Solicitor / Legal Counsel, you will assume responsibility for all real estate and construction matters affecting the company's global property portfolio. This includes offices, manufacturing facilities, warehouses and other assets.

Specific duties of the In-house Real Estate Solicitor are likely to include: negotiating and advising on lease renewals, licences for alterations and acquisitions and disposals. You will also have the opportunity to work on a range of construction matters, alongside external legal advisors, in a number of different jurisdictions, and there is scope to get involved in real estate finance and other work.


Person / About you:

Our client is looking to hire a general real estate / commercial property solicitor with c. 2-4 years' PQE. Existing in-house experience and/or construction or real estate finance experience, is not required, albeit it may be advantageous.

You are not expected to be an expert in every area however you should possess a can-do attitude and commit to picking up and running with different matters in a fast paced and dynamic commercial business.
