The Role:

My client, a national Top 50 Law Firm, is currently looking for a Costs Draftsman to join their highly reputable and successful team. The team deal with a range of Clinical Negligence, Personal Injury, Employer Liability, Public Liability and Road Traffic Accidents.

This role will involve a range of duties, including but not limited to assessing and drafting Bills of Costs, schedules of costs, costs negotiations, preparing budgets, providing advice to clients and attending hearings. There will be a mix of office and remote working in this role.

Requirements:

To be considered for this position, you will have experience of managing your own caseload and the ability to work independently. You will ideally have at least 2 years of experience either in-house or for an external supplier. With working remotely, it's important that you are able to effectively prioritise your workload and manage your schedule, in order to meet client SLA's. It is expected that you will have a strong foundation of basic knowledge and legal procedures.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, both verbally and written, as well as solid IT skills and good working knowledge of current CPR. You will be naturally proactive, analytical and have the ability to work to strict deadlines
