Client Details
Our client a leader in the Housing and Regeneration sector is looking to recruit a Commercial solicitor to join its legal team, to work mainly remotely.
Description
Some of the responsibilities for the role might include the following. Our client appreciates that not all if the applicants will have experience in all of the below areas. If solicitors have the willingness and desire to pick up new areas of legal work they should apply for the role.
The clients Group is made up of a number of different businesses that operate in a range of sectors and are delivered through different types of legal entity. You will need to understand the dynamics and priorities of the various operating businesses and will help to align legal structures with them.
You will provide support across these entities, providing advice (or procuring it from external law firms) on core business activity and also participating in project work at a business or Group level.
You will review, prepare, negotiate and draft a range of commercial contracts/documents. In addition you will be expected to advise directly on commercial contracts and IP, and be comfortable with employment matters, contractual disputes, investment rounds and corporate matters, working with external lawyers where necessary.
This is an agile role; although travel to any of our national offices will be expected as and when required.
Profile
To achieve in this role you will be a qualified legal professional with significant post qualification experience and see yourself as a general commercial lawyer. You will be adept at turning your hand to a range of legal issues and problems, be confident when giving advice and know when to look to internal or external specialists for assistance. You should have experience of framing legal issues in a business context and be able to evidence where your advice has added value to business decisions and processes.

The role is mainly homeworking the salary is commensurate with market rate.
