Opportunity for a lawyer with experience in commercial and corporate law!

We are looking for a Senior Company Lawyer to join a London Local Authority on an ongoing project. This contract will be locum but is expected to run for over a year.

The Senior Company Lawyer will be working on a project to wind-up a series of companies and bring them in-house. The work will include:

  • Advising on local government and corporate governance
  • Liaising with the project team
  • Insourcing
  • Transfer of assets and staff
  • Handling all contracts, such as works and services, supply, shared-service, etc. including the dissolving of
  • Assisting with any contracts queries resulting from the project

The Council are looking for experienced candidates with a strong background in commercial and corporate law. Experience of insourcing and large-scale transfers of assets and staff are all essential for this role. Local Authority experience is preferable but not required, so candidates from all backgrounds who have the relevant skills are encouraged to apply.

The Senior Company Lawyer will be able to work remotely but given the length of the project, it is possible that attendance will be required on an ad hoc basis.

This is a really interesting project with great quality work. The team are fantastic, welcoming and helpful. The length of the project is a real bonus too, combining a longer-running assignment and a locum rate!
