A friendly London Borough Council is seeking a part-time Employment Lawyer to join them on a locum basis for 3 days a week from May.

This locum assignment is expected to be at least 6 months with the potential to extend further. You will be working remotely for the first couple of months and when pandemic restrictions ease you will only be required to attend the office or court for occasional meetings or hearings.

The successful Employment Lawyer will be joining a welcoming team within a well-respected local authority. The council prides itself on its excellent reputation for legal work and its attitude towards staff wellbeing.

Your duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Employment Tribunal claims
  • Settlement agreements
  • Case management
  • Preliminary hearings
  • General advice
  • Education law (optional)

My client is happy to consider applicants from both public and private sector backgrounds and varying levels of experience, as long as you possess the required skills for the role.

In return you will receive a competitive hourly rate and flexible working arrangements, not to mentioning being part of a reputable and friendly team.

We encourage interested applicants to apply immediately to be considered for short listing. Alternatively should you require further information or wish to discuss your suitability before applying please contact Chloë Cameron in our Manchester office for a confidential discussion.
