On behalf of a busy, well regarded Local Authority I am seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Childcare Lawyer to join their successful team.

The successful Childcare Lawyer will play a key role in providing a comprehensive and efficient legal service to Children's Services dealing primarily with care proceedings, but also to include:

  • Placement orders
  • Adoption and PLO
  • General Children's Social Care matters
  • Advising on disclosure and Data Protection
  • Attending Legal Planning Meetings, PLO meeting and being on the duty rota

Please note, there is no advocacy required in this post and you will be remote working for the foreseeable.

Local Authority experience is preferred for this post, but that is not to say that those from a private background will not be considered.

This position is to start on 2 days, to increase up to 4 - 5 days in 4 months time to cover maternity leave. This is a great opportunity for someone to ease their way in and get to know the council/systems before increasing their hours.

My client is happy to discuss flexible hours e. condensed hours, so if you are interested in full time or part time please do send across your CV .
