Legal Counsel

Exciting opportunity to join a global listed business as an In-house lawyer working within an established in-house legal team.

Working closely with the Head of Legal the role will provide legal advice and support to the business across a wide range of legal matters, predominantly commercial contracts but may also include litigation, employment and corporate. 

The predominant focus will be commercial contract work and the role offers the opportunity to work with listed blue chip organisations, internationally renowned privately owned companies and clients within the SME sector. 

The ideal candidate would be a qualified Solicitor with a minimum of 3 years PQE with a good understanding of commercial contract law. A desire to undertake a variety of generalist legal work would be ideal. The successful candidate will respond to legal queries, from all parts of the business, giving clear, consistent and practical advice on contract interpretation. Therefore, candidates will be expected to adapt to ad hoc queries in a fast paced environment. 

You will have outstanding customer facing skills coupled with an attention to detail. You will have a proven track record of being able to work well under pressure and meet deadlines in an environment laced with a wide variety of challenges.

This is a permanent, full-time role with a highly competitive salary.

Flexible working is on offer with a suggested future working pattern of 3 days per week in the office and 2 at home.
