JOB DESCRIPTION:
The firm are seeking a talented solicitor to join their litigation team. You will have a strong civil litigation background, specialising in property disputes. Knowledge of agricultural and residential tenancies or contentious trusts/probate is an advantage, but not essential. You will be used to working as part of a team, but with the ability to think and work independently, to manage your own files and to develop your relationships with clients. An understanding of civil procedure will be taken as a given. Your most important skill will be your aptitude as a solicitor. Alongside a wide range of real property issues, often complex, you will be working on specialist and sometimes novel areas of law, where authorities may be few and far between, at all levels of the civil justice system. You will frequently work closely with barristers and other professionals who are nationally recognised experts. Clients come from a wide range of backgrounds. All of them want advice that is clear and cogent, which is tailored to their individual circumstances, which shows an understanding of their business interests and which is commercially sound. The Partners are as proud of their cases that settle, as we are of those which get reported. You will have the opportunity to advance your career and professional reputation, working in a supportive and collaborative environment. You will be part of our litigation team, made up of eight solicitors, but you will work with colleagues across the firm’s professional disciplines. The firm are committed to finding the right person for this role and are open to discussing flexible working patterns.
