Ryder Reid Legal is proud to be working on an exclusive basis with an elite global law firm to recruit a new Director of Office Administration for their London office. This firm has an impressive history dating back over 150 years and is truly a market leader in its core practice areas.

As Director of Office Administration, you will take on a broad range of responsibilities spanning HR, facilities, financial management and compliance, to ensure the efficient and effective running of the office.

Responsibilities will include:

Coordinate all office operations and practice support functions including, Human Resources, secretarial, reception, compliance, library, records, accounting and other office servicesIn collaboration with the firm's Chief Human Resources Officer, manage all aspects of local human resources functions including, recruitment, orientation, training, compensation, benefits, performance evaluations and development, relocation of legal staff, communication and administration of all firm policiesHave a good working knowledge of UK and ex pat payroll operations and oversee the local Payroll Specialist in the delivery of monthly payroll processing Manage all local benefits and wellbeing initiatives for LondonOversee the office's facilities including, maintenance of building management relationships, broker relationships, space design, utilisation, maintenance and renovation Ensure that effective systems and procedures for accounting and financial reporting are in place and in compliance with firm policiesEnsure full compliance with all of the registration, reporting and other requirements of the local legal authorities/bar associationsEnsure full compliance with all UK employment laws, utilising outside counsel for guidance as needed

Candidates must have substantial office management experience from a law firm, and strong operational, leadership, organisational and interpersonal skills. You must be able to prioritise your work and have excellent attention to detail. A working knowledge of local employment law is required, along with a strong work ethic, gravitas and the ability to build effective relationships at all levels.
