Residential Conveyancer

A Residential Conveyancer is sought by a fantastic firm in Warwickshire.

The Residential Conveyancer will report to the Head of Conveyancing, with responsibilities to involve:

  • Oversee and carry out all aspects of residential conveyancing including freehold and leasehold work, sales, purchases, remortgages, transfers of equity, right to buy, shared ownership and new plot purchases
  • Develop business opportunities within the Property Department and build a strong team
  • Manage the Warwickshire team and offer technical advice and support to other offices as required
  • Work in accordance with the Office Manual and policies of the Firm
  • Undertake residential conveyancing work on behalf of clients of the Firm
  • Supervise and manage other Fee Earners within the Firm’s structure and other staff as necessary
  • Deal with clients, intermediaries and HM Land Registry etc. both in person and over the telephone
  • Ensure budgets are managed and met
  • Pro-active business development of self and Firm
  • Continuing competency training to include compulsory CQS training 

The successful Residential Conveyancer’s skills and experience:

  • 3+ years PQE in residential conveyancing
  • Experience with managing and supporting a small team
  • Excellent interpersonal and supervisory skills
  • Strong business development skills
  • Good organisation, managerial and administration skills
  • Sound knowledge of conveyancing procedures, CQS Protocol and Anti-Money Laundering legislation
  • Experience of Lexcel standard is desirable
