Leading international law firm are currently looking to recruit a banking lawyer with 3 years+ PQE to join their Birmingham banking team which forms part of a global practice.

Our client is a global 100 law firm, with over 3,400 employees operating out of 25 locations across Europe, Asia Pacific, Africa and the Middle East. They have a long-standing reputation for delivering high-quality legal advice rooted in a deep understanding of the sectors and geographies in which their clients operate. Their global reach ensures that they are well-placed to advise on complex multi-jurisdictional matters across a full range of legal disciplines.

This preeminent banking team advise a broad range of funders and borrowers on a wide variety of financing transactions. They act for all the UK clearing banks, a number of other European and investment banks, independent financiers and investment funds on all types of facilities across asset based finance, securitisation and debt capital markets. They also act for many borrowers, from listed companies to small enterprises, on their financings. Their practice is broad and very varied. They are expanding their structured finance team and are looking for someone to help support this growth.

The ideal candidate will have some structured finance experience, particularly receivables financing and asset based lending. Some knowledge of more general banking work would also be beneficial Candidates must be technically excellent but equally important, commercially aware and enthusiastic about business development. They will be a team player with a strong client focussed approach and excellent communication and organisational skills. The candidate will be expected to work closely with the partners in the national structured finance practice, and other senior lawyers in that group, on both transactions and practice development. The firm are looking for a candidate to join their Birmingham office but also have opportunities in Leeds and Manchester.
