Claims Manager

Civil Litigation (12 month FTC) | Well-known travel company | Hampshire (Flexible working available)

A well-known travel company based in Hampshire are seeking a civil litigation lawyer to join them as a Claims Manager for a period of 12 months.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a well established business. This role will have primary responsibility for overseeing all personal injury claims, breach of contract claims and other UK claims.
Responsibilities include:
*Dealing with litigation against the company by UK consumers and third parties
*Managing a team of four Claims Executives with responsibility for quarterly and annual performance reviews, training and development, recruitment and engagement
*Using management information tools to monitor performance of the Claims Department and work with the Finance Department to ensure optimum accuracy in measuring the company's liability
*To ensure all cases are managed in-house to the fullest extent feasible so as to provide cost savings and efficient outcomes whilst developing efficient ways of working with external counsel where necessary

Candidate requirements
*Qualified litigation Solicitor or Legal Executive with at least 5 years' post-qualification litigation experience in a commercial environment
*Commercial litigation experience including personal injury and contract claims
*Experience of dealing with group actions and higher court claims
*Experience of advising on travel law is desirable but not essential
