A fantastic opportunity has arisen at our client, a Top 10 international law firm for an insurance regulatory solicitor for 6 months to cover parental leave starting ASAP.
The role sits in the firms' outstanding Commercial and Insurance Regulatory Team, The team works for a mix of London market and international insurance market clients, including some of the world's largest insurers, reinsurers and broking groups, and has a highly rated, genuinely global non-contentious insurance practice.
The team is currently very busy dealing with a broad range of legal and regulatory issues, including in relation to Brexit, Solvency II, IDD, set up and authorisation of insurance businesses, regulation of Lloyd's market vehicles, and different aspects of insurance distribution (including "insurtechs" and distribution on internet platforms).
Individuals will ideally have upwards of 5+ PQE with strong insurance regulation and/or commercial insurance experience gained in a leading regional or City firm, or in-house in the insurance sector.
The firm is ideally keen for this individual to be aligned to either London or Birmingham, although individuals wishing to work from another UK office (or work 100% remotely) will also be considered.
