Senior Litigation Support Analyst
An excellent opportunity has arisen at an international law firm for a Senior Litigation Support Analyst.
The Team
The Litigation Support team is small but integral to the disputes team, being the intermediary between the associates and partners working and the IT department. The team works to support the litigation matters from initial instruction through to court.
The Role
The senior litigation support analyst role involves project management and analysis, initially assessing the details of the evidence the lawyers need to review and working out which review platform is right for the matter and if machine learning can be used to reduce the data to a more manageable level.
Day to day you will have responsibility for all evidence in the matter, whether it be emails, hard-drives, or hardcopy, you will ensure it is handled in line with GDPR and take responsibility for converting it to a readable format to be uploaded into Relativity.
During the e-disclosure phase you will prepare review batches and formulate searches and provide training to the team on Relativity and how to perform the document review and tag documents for relevance and privilege.
Alongside the day to day work you will also work closely with the Litigation Support Manager to supervise junior members of the team, create and maintain written resources and training materials relating to electronic disclosure, assist with audits if workspaces and user log-ins and liaise with external vendors and providers.
The Requirements
As this role requires technical knowledge to be explained to the lawyers, and legal work being explained to the IT team the firm is flexible to the successful Litigation Support Analyst coming from either a legal or computer science/digital forensics background.
Ideally you will also have the Relativity Certified Administrator certification and a Nuix Workstation Data Discovery certification. Being a certified eDiscovery specialist will also be desirable as would a project management qualification (PRINCE2 etc)
Ideally you will have experience of working in-house in a law firm as a Litigation Support Analyst, but applications will be considered from those at a third party vendor seeking to move in-house.
The Progression
As a firm they support individuals learning and development and will sponsor relevant courses and qualifications. It is likely this team will grow in the future and as a firm they like to promote from within so there are great prospects for progression.
