Senior Family Solicitor

JDI Legal are instructed on a brand new role for a senior family solicitor to join a long standing and established firm who have been in operation for over 100 years here in Newcastle.

The successful individual will ideally have no less than 4pqe and have a strong background in all family matters and be confident in inheriting a caseload of circa 90 matters. The caseload currently stands at 70:30 in favour of private. It will include both public and private law children, divorce, separation and matrimonial finances, including post and pre-nuptial agreements. The finances being middle to high net worth cases. 

The appointed person will take on a management role within the department which also has a trainee solicitor within the department and be the Legal Aid supervisor which involves liaising with the Legal aid Agency in respect of file and contract compliance matters.
