My client, which is a leading law firm based in Birmingham city centre is now looking to recruit an experienced conveyancing legal assistant/paralegal to join their property housing team.

Within the firm's property housing team, you will act for Housing Associations in respect of a variety of routing work connected with the stock of residential properties owned by them including:
  • Asset management including disposals and acquisitions of residential properties (including at auction)
  • Deeds of easement
  • Lease extensions
  • Releases of restrictive and other covenants
  • Older persons shared ownership
  • Collective enfranchisement
  • Staircasing
  • Remortgages
  • Transfers of equity
  • General residential portfolio transactions – for example reviewing leases and titles for multiple properties
The role would suit an individual who enjoys working on a range of residential property work and someone who has a good understanding of the conveyancing transaction. The role will involve running a caseload of conveyancing matters including the drafting of legal documents, undertaking all due diligence and progressing matters from start to finish.

In order to be considered for this conveyancing legal assistant/paralegal position, you must have previous conveyancing experience with good understanding of conveyancing transactions and ideally have had the experience of running a caseload. You must also have the experience of working to tight deadlines and to be able to work on your own as well as part of a team.
