Northern Home Counties

Commercial Contract and Procurement Lawyer is required to join a local authority based in the Northern Home Counties for a period of 3 months initially and the view to extend thereafter.

Our client is ideally seeking an experienced commercial contract lawyer that has previously worked in a public sector setting as you would be the sole contract lawyer within the council. You will gain support from a legal officer within the team. The client is ideally seeking someone on a full time basis however they are open to considering part time lawyers who can offer a job share arrangement for those looking for flexibility.

You will be undertaking a range of commercial contract work across the council and will be working closely with the procurement team and procurement officers. You will also be liasing with external solicitors in relation the work that is currently being outsourced to ensure an effective running of the service.

The role will be remote working and you will have the opportunity for this to continue post covid.
