SUMMARY: Legal and Licensing Services Manager, 3+ PQE, Suffolk (Remote) – We are working with a Public Sector body who are looking to appoint a locum for a period of three months.

LOCATION: Suffolk (Remote)

THE ROLE: Our client is looking for a Legal and Licensing Services Manager to join them on a three-month locum assignment. The role involves the management of a team of around 14 and to directly line manage around 5 employees, therefore it is essential to have experience of this in a recent role. In addition, you will be working on a full caseload of files. You will have the ability to hit the ground running and carry out this role with minimal supervision. It’s particularly important that you have experience and knowledge of Licensing Law and are confident in advising in this area. The lawyer will need to write and present reports at Licensing Committee and Licensing Sub-Committee, sit as the Legal Adviser and the Licensing Operational Manager at these committee meetings and answer technical and policy queries from the Licensing Officers on a regular/daily basis. The ideal candidate will hold a minimum of 3 years PQE and have experience working in Public Sector bodies. Our client is open to receiving applications from Legal and Licensing Services Manager who have knowledge of the following areas: Commercial and Residential property, Planning, Housing, Licensing, Contracts/Commercial, Litigation (Civil and Criminal) and Information Law. You will be available to commence at the start of May and have availability for the full three-month role.
