A modern national law firm are seeking to appoint a qualified solicitor or legal executive into their growing national Tax, Trust and Estates team based at the Gatwick office. The team are led by an exceptional partner with over 20 years experience and long term service with the firm. They have been steadily adding to the team and are seeking an experienced solicitor legal executive. The team deal with high net worth UK and non-UK domiciled clients on a wide range of tax and estate planning issues, devising and advising on structures to hold, protect and pass on their wealth and act in the administration of high value and complex estates, acting as trustees of dynastic trusts and charities and also manage Court of Protection matters.
The ideal individual for the role would consider themselves a competent Private Client Solicitor or Legal Executive who is able to essentially able manage their own caseload unsupervised dealing with matters such as implementing and running complex wills, lifetime trusts, deeds of variation, powers of attorneys and estate administration. You would be confident in advising on lifetime IHT planning and on the taxation of trusts and their general administration. Individuals who are part / fully qualified STEP practitioners are of particular interest to the team.
The role provides the opportunity to work on some very complex and HNW matters that will see you develop your expertise further, providing challenging and interesting work on a regular basis at the same time allowing you to further develop any specialisms you may already have acquired.
As an individual you will be organised, a confident communicator and be team focused with excellent client care and engagement capabilities. You'll enjoy taking part in various marketing and business development initiatives and have a keen eye for capitalising on opportunities for the team and firm as a whole, playing your part (and being rewarded) for the ongoing success and development of the department overall.
