Job Title: Call Handler / Administrator

Location: Manchester City Centre

Salary: Up to £20,000 (DOE)

Permanent, Full Time

A client I am working with are seeking an experienced Administrator to join their team to provide administrative support to the Office Manager and wider team within their Manchester City Centre offices.

The Role:

The successful candidate will be providing administrative support to the Office Manager and wider team as well as undertaking customer service duties. Your duties will include but are not limited to:

  • Accepting new claim notifications from clients in relation to motor accidents
  • Liaising with clients and booking appointments with experts
  • Inputting new client information to their database as well as ensuring that the data in the system is correct and maintained
  • Updating diary records
  • Requesting and providing updates
  • Being the first point of contact for all incoming telephone calls and responding to said telephone and email enquiries efficiently
  • Generating client corresponding
  • Handling both external calls and internal calls from staff, taking and passing on messages
  • Taking cheques to the bank
  • Complying to the firm’s policy and proceedings
  • Other administrative duties as required

Essential Criteria:

  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage a demanding workload efficiently
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • High written and verbal communication skills
  • IT literate with competence in the use of Microsoft Office
  • Previous experience in a phone-based role
  • Customer service experience
  • Full UK Driving License
  • 5 GCSEs Grade C or above including Maths and English (must be able to provide evidence of grades)
  • At least 18 months of office experience
