Exciting new opportunity for a Childcare Advocate to join a popular West London Borough council on a locum basis.

Our client is seeking a Childcare Solicitor or Barrister with public care experience to take on an advocacy focussed role, with a small caseload. The successful Childcare Advocate will be required to conduct:

  • Initial hearings
  • Case management hearings
  • Contested initial hearings
  • Final Hearings

With the vast majority of court hearings still being conducted remotely, this role is expected to continue to be a remote position, although there may be occasional instances where the cases are physically heard in Court.

While experience of working in a local authority are highly desirable, our client is also very interested in hearing from applicants from private practice, or Barristers who have handled substantial public childcare matters in Court. Newly-qualified Lawyers/Barristers will also be considered.

With this assignment expected to be a long-term appointment within a friendly, reputable and well-organised team, you will have the amazing opportunity to really develop professionally and grow within this role. We have always had excellent feedback about the team and management from locums who have worked there.

Benefits:

  • Long-term prospects
  • Advocacy focus
  • Competitive hourly rate
  • Remote working
  • Modern systems and resources
  • Friendly and supportive team that believe in progression
  • Modern offices

We encourage interested applicants to apply immediately to be considered for short listing. Alternatively should you require further information or wish to discuss your suitability before applying please contact Chloë Cameron in our Manchester office for a confidential discussion.
