In-House Commercial Lawyer, Business Focused Opportunity

Our client is a major global player with an incredibly diverse offering.  They are looking to hire an experienced commercial lawyer for a quasi-legal role within a data team that operates as part of a broader transformation and innovation division. This position offers the tech start up feel with the comfort and support that comes from being part of a much larger organisation.  

The team aim is to help speed up data within the organisation globally by looking at new technologies used to process data. You will work closely with legal teams across all jurisdictions in a change management role/transformation type role. You will lead on the contract change process, understanding business requirements and looking at challenges with data as well as commercial benefits for clients. You will be required to identify issues, manage large projects and deal with multiple workstreams and you will also have management responsibility for junior team members.

You should understand and be able to negotiate contracts, and have some project management experience for this role. You need an ambition to move to the business side. This will suit a lawyer with at least 7 years’ pqe with the desire to take on responsibility and autonomy from day one.  Previous data experience is not required.
