Child Care Solicitor - 8 years PQE +
South West London

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an ambitious Family Solicitor / Child Care Solicitor to join a strong legal 500, full service law firm with a one of the largest Child Care teams in London. The firm are looking to make a senior appointment in their team for a Child Panal registered Solicitor to join their team to manage a caseload of work, support and actively promote the firm's marketing and business development and to be involved in the aspects of team management - superision of staff members as well as opportunity for general management in the team.
This is the perfect position for someone who is looking to join an already established practice, with a good reputation, competitive salarie and package
(inc flex working). This is an opportunty to be come a senior member of the team with long term opportunity for the right candidate.
You will advise on a variety of matters to include, but not limited to:
• Child Protection Conferences
• Emergency Protection Orders
• Care Orders
• Supervision Orders
• Contact with children in care
• Discharge of Care Orders
• Placement Orders
• Adoption
Duties will include:
• Managing own caseload
• Undertaking your own advocacy
• Advising on a variety of family matters
• Develop existing caseload in children and care matters
• Drafting various Court Applications
• Be actively involved in marketing and business development activities
The successful candidate will:
• Have good academics
• Have experience dealing with public childcare law, public funding system and LAA procedures
• Offer sound legal advice to a diverse client base
• Have established a relationship with CAFCASS and other childcare agencies
• Be an accredited member of the Law Society's Children's Panel.
• Have experience of managing team members
• Maintain your continuing professional development requirements
• Be self-motivated with a drive to develop the team
• Be able to undertake your own advocacy (desirable)
• Work in a collaborative manner within the team and wider firm
• Have a positive approach and strong work ethic
