Corporate Lawyer

Our client are a Top 50 UK Law firm of the highest calibre, highly rated by Legal 500 and one of the Top 100 best companies to work for.

They wish to recruit a Solicitor with at least three years PQE to join their growing Corporate Team.

You will undertake a broad mix of corporate work including M&A, corporate finance, equity capital markets, private equity, joint ventures, fundraising, shareholder agreements and general corporate advisory work. You will advise clients ranging from start-ups through to substantial private companies and PLCs on a broad range of corporate issues and transactions and much of your work will have an international aspect. Depending on experience, you will either support partners and other members of the team, or you will work on your own matters largely unsupervised.

You will be an associate of 3+ qualified with experience gained in a City or regional firm. You will have a good background in transactional work and be able to demonstrate both working as part of a team on transactions, and/or managing transactions largely unsupervised. You will also be able to demonstrate an understanding of, and an interest in, helping to grow a team and a practice.

Essential:- Good academics- Experience of running transactional work as the day-to-day fee earner on the deal- Evidence of understanding what is needed to help grow and develop a corporate practice- Willingness to initiate and participate in marketing and business development activities- Technically strong- Excellent drafting and verbal/written communication skills- Attention to detail- Good time and paper management skills- Strong interpersonal skills and team skills

Desirable:- Experience of equity capital markets and mergers & acquisitions- Some familiarity with the Technology, Life Sciences, Real Estate Investment or Health sectors
