Job Title: Finance Analyst / Part Qualified Accountant

Location: London

Global private equity group are looking for a financial analyst / part qualified ACA or ACCA to join their finance team, which is based in London. It is essential you have strong academics and have worked in an international environment / leading accountancy practice. Exceptional prospects for career development. Duties will include:

  • Providing insight to senior management explaining trends / variances within the business;
  • Understand and improve the financial reporting procedures and processes that are in place;
  • Assisting the finance team in month end close activities, which involves preparing monthly reconciliations, resolving any differences, as well as completing any related variance analysis;
  • Support preparation and design of the financial and business planning process;
  • Assisting in preparation of monthly management accounts and reporting;
  • Liaising with key stakeholders across business functions;
  • Preparation of financial information for quarterly board packs;
  • Preparation financial statements, including liaising with the company's auditors and tax advisers to assist with the annual audits, tax and other regulatory returns;
  • Compile audit evidence packs;
  • Preparation of tax-related reports including corporate returns, VAT reporting and local tax compliance obligations;
  • Liaising with external service providers in relation to compliance of several entities;
  • Becoming an expert in the operation of the general ledger system;
  • Other ad hoc work as and when required.

The role will suit an aspirational candidate, who is keen to learn and looking to gain quality experience in a really unusual asset finance business with operations in the UK, Europe and the US. Exceptional prospects for development and training. An ACA / ACCA qualified or trainee with a minimum of two years’ experience in a blue chip global firm or leading firm of accountants. Strong academics and first class oral and written communications skills are essential.
