My client is a top tier full service multi-site Legal 200 law firm with a high-profile private client team and an established court of protection department.
This is a new instruction for a specialist court of protection practitioner to join this strong, collegiate team.
The firm is a panel deputy for the Office of the Public Guardian and the Court of Protection. They deal with complex issues relating to mental capacity, financial abuse, powers of attorney, advance decisions and Court of Protection applications.
The ideal person will have had at least 6 months exposure in this area of law and will have a genuine interest in the care for the client. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the financial affairs of vulnerable people. This role involves some basic accountancy skills for reconciling client accounts, so good numeracy skills are essential.
