Legal Counsel

You will need to be confident in your ability to deliver on these projects whilst learning the business model.
Of course, support will be given from the team in place - many of whom have been with the company several years (this place retains its people!) You will also have the advantage of collaborating with the complete range of seniority across the business, opportunities to expand your knowledge are plentiful.
Main Responsibilities are as follows, however it is worth noting that due to the nature of this business unit, there will be a need to adapt to time constraints, regulation updates and other legal curveballs coming your way.
*You will provide timely, risk informed, preventative and commercially relevant legal advice to the business on a broad range of matters
*Draft, negotiate and provide advice on the management of key contracts required by the business.
*Support the business unit in proactively identifying potential disputes or claims, avoiding such disputes or claims and successfully managing any formal dispute.
*Be aware of legislative changes that may impact the business and share the same across the legal team and business as appropriate, including through delivery of training courses.
*Manage particular matters for the business unit, including the appointment and instruction of external law firms where required.
*Work closely with Business Partners to understand their objectives and to identify current and future legal requirements.

This role requires someone with excellent communication skills, able to build strong relationships and who has a strong passion for the law, with an eagerness to really make a difference.
