Experienced Private Client Paralegal sought for a 12 month fixed term contract with a leading City Law Firm
The Client
Our client, a highly regarded leading City Law firm is seeking to hire a Paralegal with previous experience in probate/private client work
The Role
The successful candidate's work will include (but not be limited to):
- Supporting solicitors and partners across the department with a variety of tasks largely focusing on probate
- Reviewing/closing client files
- Draft Legal Statements and basic inheritance tax accounts
- Carrying out Bankruptcy searches/ Land Registry searches / ID for beneficiaries / Companies House searches / will searches / asset searches
- Chasing HMRC and the Probate Registry by phone
- E-Filing and where required helping with paper files/ring binders
- Other ad hoc paralegal and administrative duties
The Requirements
The ideal candidate will have some (if not all) of the following characteristics and skills:
- Strong academics; Law degree LLB/GDL (2.1 / Commendation or above)
- 6+ months' experience at paralegal level within a private client focused position
- Enjoys liaising with people at all levels of seniority
